Students who meet the requirements will be accepted in the following order:

1. Catholic students living within the parish boundaries.

2. St. Anthony Preschool students.

3. Catholic students living outside the parish boundaries.

4. Non-Catholic students.

KINDERGARTEN:

1. The applicant ordinarily must be five (5) years of age by September 1st of the academic year.

2. The applicant must demonstrate the he/she is academically, emotionally, and socially ready through data compiled as a result of recommendations and readiness screening.

GRADES K-8:

1. Completed application form and fee (download application form here).

2. Entrance Test

3. Verification of all required Archdiocesan and State of California documents; baptismal certificate, birth certificate, and immunization record.

4. Report Cards and Standardized Test Scores from present school (2 years including current).

5. Completed recommendation form (dowload recommendation form here).

6. Some students and their parents may be required to meet with the principal.

7. Students in grade 1 ordinarily must by six (6) years of age by September 1st of the academic year.

8. Once admitted, the annual fee of $450 (non-refundable) and the SMART Tuition Management Service Payment Agreement with a voided check will be required to hold the student's place.

9. New students are accepted on probationary status for the first year.

All application information must be received in the school office in order to take the entrance test.

March 15, 2008 - Testing for K-8

Kindergarten readiness tests are given individually by appointment between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Students in grades 1-8 are tested in reading, language and mathematics. Students must arrive at school no later than 8:45 AM and will be finished by 11:00 AM. Parents are requested to leave during this time.

Week of March 31, 2008

Notification by mail regarding the status for the 2008 - 2009 school year will be sent the week of March 19. Please do not call the school to check on the status of the application before this time.


Please note: All admission applications are carefully reviewed. The only information given upon request will be the actual score in the entrance test and the child's general status: accepted/waiting list/non-acceptance. All other information is considered confidential.

The principal makes the final decision for the admission of all students.

Graduates

Graduates of St. Anthony School attend Loyola High School, Notre Dame Academy, Bishop Montgomery High School, St. John Bosco High School, St. Monica High School, St. Bernard's High School, St. Mary's Academy and El Segundo High School.

Test Scores

All classes tested high average or above average grade level in the 2006-2007 ITBS standardized testing.
